POA

Jill’s broad interpretations of life’s cycles and developments from within a solid core run through her diverse sculptural output, using archetypes of the female form and plant life to create a both personal and universal allegory for the geography and continuity of humanity.

In this piece, comprised of five individual sculptures, Jill uses the Gunnera as a metaphor for longevity and strength through flexibility. This species of plant was eaten by dinosaurs, it has survived and flourished for over 150 million years despite dying back every year and seemingly pliant. As a metaphor for the female experience, demonstrating tenacity and fortitude in the face of harsh winds, this piece felt extremely appropriate for the theme of our curation.

Each is available individually or as a set.
