"The work is my journey, my ever developing understanding of life and a struggle to see the order and simplicity within it."
After five years working in the film industry creating sculpture and landscapes for feature films, Jonathan took a break to carve marble in Italy for 6 months. There he fell in love with the stone and remained for about 9 years, working for much of this in the world-famous and prestigious Studio Sem.
Showing internationally, and sourcing work for major clients, his work with stone is at once a celebration of form and material. Texture changes can transform the way a stone can look, and this mixture of finishes is a feature of his work.
