Patrick's work has evolved through an examination of the relationship between connected geometric shapes into a blend of the constrained and the curvilinear. As focused on the method of construction as he is with the final piece, his technical skills in the steel fabrication process are second to none. This precision is visible in the clean lines and seamless folds of all of his pieces. Bold colour and clever use of mirrored surfaces are a signature of his current sculptures, which work beautifully in both exterior and interior spaces.
We first met Patrick during our sculpture symposium in 2014, his 'Mirror Form' was one of the stand out works created during the week. He then went on to be successful in a tender we put out for a new work for a main avenue garden for the 2015 Chelsea Flower Show, and our sculpture garden hosts a number of his large scale pieces.
